Getting there

Getting to Turunç
…and how to do it without
spending a fortune!

Thomas Cook fly to Dalaman

The nearest airport to Turunç is Dalaman Airport. Most UK airports offer flight to Dalaman via charters during the summer season (normally from the end of April until the end of October).

Every year more and more regional airports are adding a Dalaman flight to their summer schedules, so you should not have far to travel in the UK to reach your departure airport.

Some useful websites to try:-

It really is worth spending some time surfing the internet for your flights. A bit of effort can save you valuable pounds which will be better spent on enjoying yourself when you are in Turunç!

If you start with a website like Flightline (see below) and make a note of the flights offered from your search results, it is often possible to book these flights direct from the airline at cheaper rates by checking out their websites.

Click here to go to Flightline's website Flightline is a great website for sourcing flights. It has a useful search engine that allows you to easily move one day or one week forwards or backwards from your original search date, without the need to re-enter your information. It also gives you an idea on the results page of how much your flight will cost in total – in other words, with the taxes and extras included.

Click here to go to Thomas Cook's website Thomas Cook’s website for flights offers a great selection of year round flights. Out of season there are regular Monday flights direct to Dalaman Airport. The website allows you to book one way flights and to choose the length of your holiday. In a similar way to British Airways, you can book one way flights from within Turkey if you need to.

Thomas Cook offers you the choice of pre booking seats together (handy if you have young children) and you can save money by reducing your baggage allowance to 15kg per person. Meals can be pre booked if required or de-selected to save money. Extras such as champagne and chocolates can be ordered for special celebrations, with a personalised mesage to add that extra touch.

EasyJet started their charter flights to Dalaman in the spring of 2008. They fly from Monday to Friday, although they only fly from Gatwick at present.

The website is simple to follow but beware that the ticket price does not include any hold baggage. This is charged at £6.00 per bag per leg of the journey (so long as it does not exceed 20kg).

Early bookers are rewarded with bargain prices!

….and finally……….

If the cost of flights during peak travelling times (half terms and the summer school holidays) is just too silly to contemplate, then try the following.

Many Turunç regulars book a cheap bargain break to Turkey through the usual Tour Operators or via the High Street Travel Agents. So long as the flight brings them into Dalaman, it doesn’t matter where the holiday destination is. In other words, it can sometimes be cheaper to book a package holiday than to book the flights separately. You just won’t be using the accommodation part of the package.

Simply inform the Rep when you arrive at Dalaman Airport that you have made you own plans – and then you can be collected by our drivers and brought to Turunç and your holiday home!! It is obviously not something that the Tour Operators will want to encourage but you should take advantage of any offers like this that may save you lots of money.ofcourse dont forget to book  your airport transfer from dalaman airport to turunc via GREEN IDYMA TRAVEL www.turunctransfer.com is the address to book.
